The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society organized an educational webinar led by Anna Katz, a Sexuality Counselor and Nurse specialist, to speak about sexuality in young blood cancer patients. The webinar focused on the normal development of young adult sexuality and described the potential changes for young adult men and women after a hematologic cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Finally, some tips and guidance are given on dealing with sexual concerns – which may be transferable to patients living with solid cancers- followed by a roundtable of questions from young adults with cancer, covering topics such as sexuality and side effects, dating after cancer, and situations specific to people with non-binary gender.
